RADAR

The Ranger perimeter surveillance radars provide accurate, high resolution detection of vehicles and personnel. Designed to perform in the most demanding environments, they provide 24/7 security to ranges up to 5km. Scanning as much as a full 360 degrees every second, they can effectively monitor up to 78 square kilometres. By Leveraging the Radar’s advantage in detecting intruders, pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras can focus on their strength – identifying and assessing those threats – for a more efficient and cost-effective solution.

RANGER – R1

SHORT-RANGE PERIMETER SURVEILLANCE RADAR

The FLIR Ranger® R1 is a ground-based perimeter surveillance and tracking radar that accurately detects personnel and vehicles at a range of up to 700 m. It scans a full 360° every second, covering up to 1.5 square km (0.6 square miles). Additional units – such as a mid-range FLIR Ranger® R2 – can be networked in an overlapping array to protect larger areas, stitching together an impassable radar area outside and inside your perimeter.

Operating in the Ka-band, this radar is compact and highly portable. It works in virtually any climate, weather, or lighting condition, providing 24/7 security. R1 is ideal for force protection and securing borders, airports, seaports, and critical infrastructure. R1 provides fast and accurate detection of up to 128 threats simultaneously. Ethernet XML target data in GIS coordinates, as well as wireless and fiber connectivity, makes R1 integration easy.

Able to scan 360° every second to monitor more than 24 square kilometers (9.6 square miles), it can be integrated in an overlapping array with a variety of other radar and EO/IR units to conform to terrain profiles and protect larger areas such as borders.

Operating in the Ka-band, this radar is compact and highly portable. In addition to border surveillance, R3 is ideal for force protection and securing airports, seaports, and critical infrastructure. R3 provides fast and accurate detection of up to 128 threats simultaneously. The PT-Series HD features a new high-performance 4x optical zoom thermal lens with autofocus.

Arcsense™ is a flexible, coaxial, linear sensor that can be readily integrated and applied to a number of industry applications where sensor monitoring is required. The sensor unit can be installed in close proximity to the underside of a conveyor belt by means of an adjustable mounting frame. This creates a controlled linear sensing area which can be integrated into a PLC system. The resultant signal can then be configured to automatically switch off the conveyor belt system if damage or imminent failure is detected
